Meredith Festival Bag Crochet Pattern
*This listing is for a digital download PDF pattern only, not the finished product*
I daydreamed about this design for a long time before I put hook to yarn. I have seen so many crocheted bags that are just one large compartment and thought about how I prefer bags with dividers to help me stay organized. No reason it can’t be practical and super cute too, right? I imagined taking it to a music festival and putting just what I needed in there; sunglasses, tickets, my phone, a small wallet, sunscreen, lip gloss… Picot edging has always been a favorite of mine and I fell in love with the Herringbone Half Double Crochet the first time I saw it, way before I ever used it on a project.
So far, the teens and tweens in my life give this purse a two thumbs up! It would also be a great make for markets or holiday craft bazaars. It takes one skein of Lily Sugar 'n Cream Super Size (solid colors).
Supplies:
H (5mm) crochet hook
180 yards + of worsted weight 100% cotton or cotton blend yarn such as Lily Sugar 'n Cream
7/8" or 1" button or toggle
Scissors
Tapestry needle
Sewing needle & thread
Stitch markers
Measuring tape/ruler
Skill Level: Perfect for advanced beginners and up. This pattern uses the Herringbone Half Double Crochet stitch (basic tutorial included) as well as chaining and slip stitches.
Language/Terms: English/US Terms
