Joanna Tote Bag Crochet Pattern
This large crochet tote bag is perfect for library books, day trips, and outings with the kids! This pattern is great for the intermediate crocheter or a very ambitious advanced beginner. It's very roomy at 16.5" x 16.5" and almost 30" tall with the straps. The extended single crochet gives it that pretty look, with the sustainable hemp yarn lending a bit of rustic vibe. You can also use Bulky (5) weight cotton yarn such as Just Hemp or Billow, or two strands together of a DK (3) weight cotton or cotton blend yarn. The pattern includes a basic schematic and lots of photos to guide you along.
Supplies:
I (5.5mm) crochet hook
440-480 yards of Lion Brand Just Hemp yarn (5 - Bulky weight); or you can substitute 1,000-1,200 yards of a DK (3) weight yarn with two strands held together
Scissors
Tapestry needle
Stitch markers (different colors)
Measuring tape/ruler

Sewing needle & thread
